                    As coaches at Ste. Genevieve we believe it is important and imperative that the students start at an early age learning the fundamentals of the game and playing competitve basketball to prepare yourself for high school competition. We have AAU teams at third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade this year.  Our competition around us has been stronger than us for a long time now and they continue to grow stronger. For us to compete at a high level and be successful we must be doing the same things that other programs are doing. The young athletes should be learning the correct fundamentals and termonology. They should also be taught what to expect when it comes to competitive basketball. Through our program we have to teach the game and instill qualities to better the students in other areas of life. Teamwork, hard work, loyalty, and and fighting through adversity are just a few of these qualities. I hope that all of you that are apart of the program ejoy it and if your not will consider putting your children through our program. To have a successful basketball program and family it takes all people at every level. I hope to build a strong tradition for basketball in Ste. Genevieve.
