. The Marching Band participates in various parades and marching band competitions throughout the area as well as at all home varsity football games. Our marching band begins practice a week or two before the first day of school. The percussion section and color guard (flags) practice for two weeks and are joined by the brass and woodwinds the second of the two weeks. The practice times are 8-12 and 1-5 (M-F). Once school starts, the marching band practices starting at 7:30 AM (M,T,TH and F) and continues through first hour, as well as Wed. nights from 6-9.
Marching Band Competitions take place at area High Schools including Farmington, Potosi, Park Hills and others and are all on Saturdays in late September and October. We also host our own marching competition here at Ste. Genevieve on the last Saturday in October.
